Fashion: Two for One

Between all the works shifts (where I get to wear the EVER fashionable Khaki shorts and navy blue t-shirt), and it being so deathly hot that I stick to jorts and plain tank tops so that I don't die (and so that all my sweat doesn't show up too bad) I hardly ever actually get 'Dressed'.  Over the past week though guys... I GOT DRESSED. TWICE. I mean, this is BIG, BIG stuff. I made a point to document each time, b/ yes it REALLY IS A BIG DEAL. and, well, b/c i havent done a 'fashion' post in a while...

LOOK ONE:




Dress: Forever21 (thrifted in  SF bay area for $5)
Sandals: Old Navy (from years ago)

Fashion: Chambray dreams

Im at this weird post where I am getting back into a good healthy gym routine, and trying to eat a little better, and so I feel like I don't have any clothing in my closet. By this I mean, it all technically still fits me, but most of it doesn't fit optimally. Stuff is either a little too snug, or a little too loose (as I bought things when I was not at MY optimal).  Then there is the pile at the top of my closet that all fit me once...but looks ridiculous on me currently. Oh to be a clothes whore...



So, here we have a half-assed outfit. It was comfy, it didn't look TOO ridiculous on my body, and the t-shirt and shorts were only slightly too small for me. This counts as fashion, right?

Boots: LL Bean (gift)


As the weather slowly lightens, and my body load lightens as well, I promise a more fashion conscious Katie, b/c who am I kidding, I love wearing ridiculous outfits that make no sense in my surroundings. That is when I'm not in tight charlie pants.

Outfit-A-Day: Giraffes and Orange Tabby Cats

I started out the day picking out a very standard Katie outfit before realizing I needed, if just a tiny bit, to try and remix it up. So, here is what you get world, a somewhat mixed up Katie standard. Instead brown tights, I went with hunter green. Instead of the ivory silk shirt I usually wear under this giraffe print jumper, I decided to do a chunky kit on top. and finally, though the though of getting rid of the belt crossed my mind for a hair of a second, instead I went with a skinny bronze belt rather than a thick brown one to top it all off. Man, am I versatile.(*ahem*)


Nigel also decided to photo bomb quite a few pictures. He can't help himself, he is an attention whore through and through. Plus he gets excited when he thinks we might be going on a walk. Yes, he goes on walks with me-short walks-but walks non the less.


Also, I thought I would share the progression of me not having balance, ever. This happens every photo shoot. and everyday, just in life.
